The most important distinct feature and advantage when you are ready to order custom curtains is that the products are made personally for you and according to the sizes you list. 

We will produce the curtains sized to the exact centimeter you need. 

We are sure you know that linen shrinks after the first wash, making it even more difficult to find the right size. You would take the time to find and buy the right size, but shortly after the first wash the product may become a few centimeters shorter or narrower. Fabric shrinkage is especially critical and unwanted when it gets to linen curtains, as well as for table linens such as tablecloths and runners.

At Varvara Home we are ready to create products according to your sizes, so you get the exact products you need. The width of 72 cm or 85 cm – whatever it is that you say. We will do what is needed. We consider the shrinkage of each fabric (we run tests on all the fabrics received) and sew so that after washing the product stays the size you ordered. If for some reason the product may have shrunken, we guarantee free replacement or fixing.

Precise cut without skewness

The cut is very important for products, especially for products made of linen. We cut all personal orders by hand. Our seamstress cuts the fabric tread by thread so that you get the exact size you order. This is a very meticulous work that requires crystal clear attention.

In conventional production, the fabric is laid in layers and then that “puff cake” is cut with a knife according to the patterns. You can often see that the fabric is skewed when cut, and so the products sewed will also be skewed. Linen fabric stretches a lot when cut, making linen more difficult to cut than cotton. Not every production or workshop would be able to sew using linen fabric. We recommend that you choose products from trusted manufacturer who has long specialized in linen products and has experience working with linen fabric.

With industrial sewing, the quality of the cut will always be significantly inferior to the individual thread by thread cut. Precise cutting is very important, especially for products of simple geometric shapes (napkins, runners, curtains, drapes, etc.). A product that has been cut correctly will not lose its’ shape after washing.

Quality seams

Our seamstress irons every sewn seam - this ensures that all seams are even and the product will have the correct shape. Great attention is paid to every detail and fragment, for example, when inserting lace or attaching loops.

In mass production, seamstresses have to make 50-200 (depending on the complexity of the product) items per shift. With such volumes, there is always a percentage of defects, and so the quality issues may arise.

As you see now, custom sewing takes much more time, so the products are valued much higher. With custom sewing, you get a perfectly cut and sewn product without skewness, which will perfectly fit your home and delight you for many years.
